River Plate's away shirt from 2000/01, worn in a season when the attack included Javier Saviola, Pablo Aimar and the Colombian striker Juan Pablo Angel. River had won the Clausura in 2000 under Americo Gallego, and the squad was packed with talent that Europe was already watching.
Angel left for Aston Villa in 2001, followed by Saviola to Barcelona and Aimar to Valencia. A shirt from a team about to lose its biggest stars.
